SEO Importance

If your business relies on customers visiting your website, you should take a second and ask yourself if you are satisfied with the amount of activity you are getting from your site. If the answer is yes and you are overworked, you have probably already optimized your site or chosen other means of advertising. However, while reading this article, you are probably looking for answers or suggestions on how to drive more traffic to your website.

Now that we’ve made it clear, let’s see why optimization matters. For starters, who doesn’t want more business, right? I mean, business is money, and almost everyone I know enjoys making more money.

With that said, SEO is an essential part of the online community when it comes to making money.

The reason I say this is because the Web is a huge place.

Whatever your business sells or offers as a service is likely to be offered by many others. Chances are, some of your competitors have already optimized their site. The point is, there are probably 100, if not thousands, of sites ahead of you in the search engines.

A professional SEO can rank your site and drive EFFECTIVE traffic in their own way. Let’s take an example. Let’s say you sell candles and want your site to appear on Google when someone types “candles”.

Now there is certainly some competition to rank for that key term, but not much. You are competing with around 7 million other sites that use this term. Now you’re probably telling yourself 7 million! This is a lot! It may sound like a lot, but it’s not that bad.

The term “candles” was searched a total of 2,580 times in the last 110 days. This is according to a very neat tool that we use to find the key terms to use. Let’s say you’re in first place for that term and everyone who searched for that term clicks through to your site. Now, assuming you get 10% of the total traffic to complete a sale, that’s 258 sales.

Assuming a candle costs $ 5 and each person bought only ONE candle. 5 × 258 = $ 1290 Not bad, right? The hard part is over. This means attracting people to your site. Now all you have to do is sit back, relax, and watch your sales increase. The possibilities are endless!
